This camp is £260, the £80 is just the non refundable deposit.

This camp is aimed at those looking to gain confidence with their jumping. Suitable for those jumping 40-60cm.

Please note: This camp is specifically aimed at building rider confidence. Horses attending must be willing, sensible, physically fit and able to work in a group environment.

Due to the needs and safety of other riders on the camp, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate horses that are nervous, unpredictable, or dangerous. This ensures a safe, positive, and supportive experience for everyone taking part.

If you are unsure whether this camp is suitable for you and your horse, please feel free to get in touch to discuss before booking.

What is included:-

Arrive from 4pm on the 27 April, settle your horse in and join us for a welcome dinner.

Tuesday 28 April- Two Ridden Sessions

The day will begin with a polework session, designed to help both horse and rider settle, improve focus, and establish rhythm and control. This session will build confidence, improve balance, and encourage effective communication between horse and rider.

The second session will progress to working over cross poles, allowing riders to practise straightness, rhythm, and position in a calm, supportive environment. Exercises will be adapted to suit individual confidence levels, with the emphasis on positive, pressure-free learning.

Wednesday 29 April – Two Ridden Sessions

In the morning, riders will head into the show jumping arena to start breaking the course down. You will work over individual fences, focusing on approach, line, and rhythm, before gradually linking fences together as confidence grows.

In the afternoon session, riders can choose between:

  • Show jumping, with the aim of linking the full course together at a comfortable, confidence-appropriate level
    or

  • Heading into the cross-country arena to jump a selection of solid fences (minimum height 50cm), focusing on rhythm, control, and positive riding over natural obstacles.

A non ridden course walking session- A correct course walk is one of the most important parts of show jumping and can make a huge difference to how confident and prepared you feel when you ride. During this session, riders will learn how to walk the course properly, understand distances, and plan the best lines.

Walking the course helps you: visualise the line you will ride between fences, understand where to steady your horse or allow them to move forward, Spot related distances and plan your rhythm. There is no pressure and no expectation to get everything “right” — the aim is to build confidence, understanding, and a clear plan so you can ride positively and calmly. A good course walk means fewer surprises, better communication with your horse, and a more relaxed, enjoyable round.
