Code of
Conduct
- Use only the car parking facilities provided
- Your membership armband must be worn at all times whilst riding on
Lincomb Equestrian property.
- Correctly secured
British Standard Riding Hats conforming to BS PAS 015 1998, BS EN 1384, or ASTMF 1163 95 MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted. It is
strongly advised that Body Protectors are also worn at all times whilst
mounted
- Correct footwear must also be worn whilst mounted
- Racing is forbidden
- Obey all signs
- Keep to marked routes
- Any breakages must be reported to the course owner
- Always give way to pedestrians on public footpaths
- Dogs must be kept under strict control, and must always be on a
lead whilst on the cross country course
Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct when
using Lincomb Equestrians facilities could result in your future use of the
facility being refused.
Terms and
Conditions
All Jumps are optional and the rider can choose not
to jump any or all of the fences. It is the riders responsibility to make
certain that they and their horse have the necessary level of ability and
experience before attempting to jump. Riders should familiarise themselves
beforehand with any jump of which they have any doubts as to their ability to
complete safely. - This applies to both cross country fences and show jumps
Single riders must be accompanied by either another
rider or person on foot when using the facility for cross country jumping or
show jumping. Any spectator or person accompanying a rider must keep well clear
of all jumps.
Any accident must be reported to the course owner
and a record made in writing before departing.
Your
membership fee is for you to only ride horses owned/kept by yourself on any of
the facilities at Lincomb Equestrian. If you bring another rider with you to
ride either their own horse or a horse owned by yourself a fee will be incurred
of £15 per horse for those not covered by your membership.
Personal
Injury and Equipment Insurance Notice
The course owner does not insure the rider, your
horse or your tack and equipment. You are strongly advised to have in place
your own adequate personal accident insurance at all times.
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused
by our negligence we shall not be liable to you by reason of any duty at common
law or under the express term of our contract with you, for any loss or damage,
cost or expenses which arrive out of or in connection with your use of any
Lincomb Equestrian facility.
By signing this form you acknowledge the Code of
Conduct, Terms and Conditions and the Personal Injury and Equipment Insurance
Notice set out by Lincomb Equestrian. For
those under 18 years of age a parent or guardian must complete this form.
